String of Vintage Tribal Buttons - Kuchi Dome Buttons for Belly Dance - DIY Costume Buttons

String of dome style buttons on rolled fabric. Dome-shaped stud-type buttons have a loop or shank on the back for stringing or attaching and are still strung on their original rolled fabric cord.  All are about the same size and color, a few may be slightly squeezed or have dings. These items have been taken from tribal clothing or accessories, bags or animal trappings.  Pre-strung buttons can be added to dance costuming or other fabric projects vey easily - just sew the entire piece down as it is!

Buttons, like other tribal embellishments are used to adorn almost anything you can imagine, from clothing, personal goods and accessories, to household items and animal trappings. Tribal buttons can be sewn on individually if you just need one or two, or can be sewn in groups or stung on braided cord and sewn into designs or patterns. Vintage buttons have been taken from these old items and repurposed, maybe many times, in their tribal lifetimes.
