Vintage Balochi Headpiece - Headwear for Fusion Belly Dance - Tribal Headpiece

Vintage tribal headpiece from the Balochi people. Made in a design typical of the Pakistani Baloch. Linked metal headpiece is attached to a new fabric base, with a circular band running around the head like a headband, and another running front to back across the top of the head.  It fits a bit like a cap.  Glass jewels in traditional red and green colors. The quality of this piece is amazing and it is in excellent condition.

Balochistan, is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. It is the largest province in terms of land area, forming the southwestern region of the country. Its provincial capital and largest city is Quetta. Traditionally, Baloch women wore earrings, nose rings, necklace and bracelets, rings on both fingers and toes, and armlets. Ornaments of various kinds were also worn on the head or in the hair including tassels of various kinds, which are worn in the hair near the back of the head and fall below the length of the hair to make it appear longer.
