The mountainous region of Kashmir, in far northeastern Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, and northwestern India are a trove of jewelry designs. Here many cultures overlap and jewelry styles intertwine and meld, becoming seemingly familiar and yet distinctly different. Etching and large jewels are standard on pendants from this region.
