Vintage Kuchi pendants are the perfect thing for tribal fusion belly dance costume embellishment. Tribal pendants come in an endless variety, but most are made from mixed metals or silver and have lots of detailing that may include stamped metal plaques, granulation, hollow dangles for a nice jingle, flat dangles to catch the light, glass jewels or any number of other ornamentation. All of these details are meant to protect the wearer by distracting and redirecting evil spirits. If it seems that tribal pendants often have flaws, be aware that many times flaws are "built in" to the piece as an additional means of keeping evil spirits away since the spirits are said to be attracted to perfect items. Remember that handmade pieces in pairs or sets will most often have slight differences. Only machine made items are perfect! Help keep that pesky evil eye away by adding lots of pendants to your costuming.

A NOTE ON THE CONDITION OF TRIBAL ITEMS: Our tribal components are used pieces from from faraway lands. As used pieces they may be tarnished or otherwise reflect their prior lives as treasured tribal pieces. Please know that we strive to maintain the tribal allure of our items and therefore we do not clean or repair these pieces in any way. This not only maintains the old, tribal look of each piece that our belly dance customers seek, but also preserves the value of a piece that cleaning and polishing might diminish.
